Our first task was to paint the front and side of the building. This wasn’t just a quick splash of color; it was a meticulous process. We began by thoroughly preparing the surfaces. Using a high-pressure hose cleaner, sugar soap, and rags, we cleaned and stripped away any old, flaking paint.
For the painting, we chose Dulux WeatherShield premium paint, known for its durability and vibrant finish. Two coats were applied to ensure a lasting and high-quality appearance. To protect the doors, windows, roof, and fencing, we carefully applied masking tape. Given the building’s height of approximately five meters, we utilized a raised platform, ladder, and extendable paint roller to reach every corner. After completing the painting, we ensured the site was clean and free of any waste.
Next was the installation of astroturf, a feature that would add a fresh, green aesthetic to the building’s exterior. While we can install astroturfing, for this project, we collaborated with an external contractor to ensure the best result. The lush, low-maintenance turf enhanced the overall look, providing a welcoming and modern touch.
Installing the heavy-duty steel pergola was a crucial part of the project. Our team at Helpful Handyman Hire took charge of assembling and securing the structure. This included installing back panels, side panels, and roof sheets, which were then silicone-sealed for waterproofing. Using a 14-millimeter SDS drill bit with an impact SDS drill, we drilled 100 millimeters into the concrete. We filled these holes with anchor chemical, which hardened, allowing us to secure the pergola with anchor bolts and nuts. The sturdy pergola added both functionality and aesthetic value to the building.
The final step involved assembling and installing five heavy-duty display racks and three piggy-style racks. This setup was designed to maximize the display area, making it easier for the client to showcase their products. After the racks were in place, we moved on to the branding and signage. This step was crucial in ensuring that the company’s new product line was prominently and professionally presented.
